Shipping Instructions

You may use the carrier of your choice to ship to us.  I highly recommend
the US Post office, FedEx or DHL.  I have had excellent service from all of
them.  The post office will not guarantee a next day delivery time
although I most always receive it the next day.   The Post office charges
approximately $30-$40 for a next day package.  FedEx charges are
around $65-$75.  I would not recommend using UPS, their trucks are not
air conditioned which is important during the summer months shipping
flowers.

Packing Your Bouquet
First, you will need to delegate a close friend or relative the responsibility to care for and prepare
your flowers after your wedding since you will have other things on your mind, such as your
honeymoon. After your special day/event place your bouquet in the refrigerator or in an air-
conditioned room until you are ready to ship it. Refrigerating the bouquet will lock in the coolness
and moisture during shipment.
DO NOT PUT YOUR BOUQUET IN THE FREEZER!

What you will need: (Leave this with the person responsible for shipping)
•  A box just a little larger that the actual bouquet - an inexpensive Styrofoam cooler fit into a
cardboard box works great.
•  Packing Material- crumpled newspaper or Styrofoam packing peanuts
•  Paper towels
•  Packing tape to seal the box
•  A couple small freezer packs  (what you use to pack a lunch type)
Please do not use zip lock bags with ice, if they happen to leak it will damage the
flowers.

Preparing To Ship:
Make sure the freezer packs are  frozen. These will keep your flowers fresh and cool
during shipment. Do not place flowers directly on the freezer packs as this will freeze
the flowers nearest to them.

Bouquets with holders--You will need to fill the oasis foam holder (green spongy
foam in holder in which the flowers are inserted) with cold water. You do this by holding
the bouquet under a gently running faucet for just a few seconds. It shouldn't take much
water to re-hydrate the foam. Shake off excess water that may have dripped on the
bouquet holder or the flowers during this step.

Hand-tied Bouquets--If your bouquet is hand-tied and the stems are not receiving
water, mist the flowers lightly with cool water (using a clean mist bottle). DO NOT SOAK!

Shipping Your Bouquets
It is necessary for you to overnight your bouquet to us. This priority shipping enhances the quality
of your flowers for the drying process. Be sure that the person responsible for shipping your
flowers has all the necessary items ahead of time.

1. Make sure your freezer packs are frozen and  tape them securely to the bottom of the shipping
box with packing tape.

2. Next, place packing peanuts or crumpled newspaper on top of coolant making a nest for the
bouquet on the bottom of the box.

3. Now place your bouquet in the box with the bouquet facing UPWARD. Place a layer of paper
towels on top of the bouquet and then fill the box with remainder of packing peanuts or crumpled
newspaper. Make sure you fill the sides of the box as well to stabilize the bouquet as much as
possible so it will not shift during shipment.

4. Make sure your name, address and contact information is in this box! You may put the $75
deposit required for the processing of your flowers,  please make  checks to  Jackie Imler and put
in an envelope taped to the inside of the box.

5. Seal the box with packing tape.
